Richard C. French & Company is an antiques and fine arts dealer located in Wiscasset, ME. Our inventory encompasses a broad range from fine period antiques to contemporary, individually created lighting; eighteenth century paintings to twentieth century post-impressionist works. Our shop is situated in a restored eighteenth century house with six rooms of display space. Each room is a little different in order to provide a better backdrop for our collection. Located on the Sheepscot River, about an hour beyond Portland, Wiscasset is a charming town with roots in export trade and ship building. There are many fine examples of Georgian, Federal, Greek Revival and Victorian architecture. The town has been, and continues to be, a great destination for finding antiques. Being a wonderful “walking” town, going from shop to shop by foot is quite enjoyable. With over twenty shops, there are antiques of every sort and price range.
